N 105 - SUPER MAGNUM

N105 Super Magnum is Vihtavuori’s slowest burning pistol powder, intended for the most powerful handgun cartridges in use today, particularly with heavy bullets and/or large case volume. Many of these specialized rounds operate at rifle pressures. Delivering this type of shooting performance is precisely what prompted the development of N105. For such powerhouse calibers as the .454 Casull or .500 S&W, N105 is an excellent reloading powder choice.

N 310

Well-known for its accuracy and extremely clean burning, the N310 is used by pistol shooters reloading calibers from .32 S&W Long Wadcutter up to .45 ACP and many others requiring accurate handgun loads. The N310 is our fastest burning handgun powder and the top choice for the competitive Bullseye pistol shooter.

N 320

The N320, formerly known as 3N22, is a fast burning, porous handgun powder. N320 is one of our most popular handgun powders and can be used for a wide range of pistol calibers from .32 to .45. It is most commonly used by sport and hobby shooters such as Cowboy Action shooters, but as a very reliable gun powder it is also suitable for authority applications. The powder type is tubular, with grain dimensions 1,1 mm x 0,8 mm (length x diameter), and as all our reloading powders it includes the added decoppering agent.

N 330

N330 handgun powder provides a wide range of latitude for the handgun shooter, serving well for everything from light target to heavier high-velocity loadings. This is a versatile powder suitable for an exceptionally broad range of applications, especially designed for 9 mm Luger but also suitable for .38 Special, .40 S&W, .44 S&W Special and .45 Colt.

N 340

Formerly known as 3N18, the N340 is a true multipurpose gunpowder, developed originally for 9 mm and shotshell loads. This powder is one of the most popular gunpowders in the Vihtavuori N300 series, and it can be used for a wide variety of calibers and bullet weights, making it the perfect partner for all kinds of reloading purposes. The N340 is used especially for medium and large caliber pistols and shotshells with medium and heavy loads.

N340 is a tubular powder type with grain dimensions of 1,0mm length and 0,8 mm diameter. Exactly the same grain size as with powder N320, N330 and N350 – only the porosity of the powder changes. The burning rate of the N340 is at the medium scale of Vihtavuori handgun powders – and as with powder N320, with N340 extremely clean burning and no residuals is guaranteed.

N 350

…you’ve got to ask yourself one question: “Do I feel lucky?”

We think that even Dirty Harry himself possibly used Vihtavuori N350 in his famous .44 Rem Mag, when looking at his infallible shooting accuracy!

As the burning speed of N350 is at the slow end of our handgun powders, it is ideal for very heavy and top end velocities and energies for a broad range of pistol and revolver cartridges. N350 is widely used in pistol shooting and especially in practical shooting. N350 works excellent also in shotgun shooting with heavy hunting loads, especially with 36 gr loads or more. Saty tuned for shotgun reloading data in the future!

3N37

Vihtavuori’s 3N37 handgun powder was originally developed for .22 rimfire cartridges, but has since proven to be very versatile and desirable within all competitive handgun shooting disciplines.

The 3N37 is tubular, porous powder type with grain dimensions of 0,6 mm length and 0,6 mm diameter. The symmetrical grain size makes metering a breeze in powder measures. The burning rate of the 3N37 is close to N350 and on the medium scale of our handgun powders.

This is an excellent powder for 9 mm major loads for IPSC open competitions and it’s very popular in USPSA and IPSC practical pistol shooting disciplines. In addition to practical shooting, 3N37 is also widely used as a submachine gun powder. As all of our powders, 3N37 offers consistent, extreme precision, with clean burning – and that is why it is used by the best shooters in the world.

Interesting fact: 3N37 was used back in the 1940’s by Sako for loading 9mm submachine gun cartridges.

3N38

Vihtavuori’s 3N38 powder is designed especially for competitive handgun shooting with high-velocity loads in 9 mm, .38 Super and .40 S&W cartridges. It’s a single-based, tubular powder type, and one of our small granule powders (0,6 mm length x 0,6 mm diameter). The 3N38 is a popular powder for practical shooting especially among IPSC and USPSA shooters. A relatively slow-burning powder, 3N38 is a perfect choice for making Major loads with good accuracy and clean-burning characteristics, for which Vihtavuori is renowned.

N32C - TIN STAR

The primary benefit of Tin Star is its exceptionally high loading volume. This porous powder fills the case much better than most conventional smokeless propellants, providing the loading density needed for those classic black powder cartridges. Tin Star gives reliable ignition in all conditions, burns clean and leaves very little fouling or residue. It meters easily, making the task of producing high quality and uniform loads that you can depend on just that much easier. Handloads that you can depend on, shot, after shot, after shot. Vihtavuori Tin Star delivers!
